Violet is the cutest little sausage dog you will ever meet. She is quite the low rider and looks like she hits the gym regularly haha. She is such a people lover that the instant you touch her she calms down and almost melts into you. Her little body is always wiggling around with excitement and you cant help but smile around her. She loves running around in the yard playing with her soccer ball. She could easily entertain herself for hours with her toys. Violet is crate and house trained and generally doesn't bark in the crate. Although she may give a little whine to tell you she wants to be out with you. She does great in the car and walks very well on a leash. Violet previously lived in a home with three children and she absolutely adored them! She does enjoy the company of other dogs  and has lived with both a great dane and a chihuahua but does need slower, proper intros with them. We will require that Violet do a two week shutdown after arriving to a new home. If there are other dogs in the home slow intros will begin after the shutdown is finished. The rescue is here to help with the shutdown and slow intro process. Violet came to us with some hair loss due to allergies but has done amazing on a special diet. She also previously had knee surgery (TPLO) and will need to be kept at a healthy weight to reduce the likelihood of needing to have surgery on her other knee.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting this animal, please read the following before submitting an adoption application on our website.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, 4Dx test (covers tick-borne diseases ( A naplasmosis , Lymes, E hrlichiosis) as well as heart worm)  & de-worming.  We ask that our dogs live indoors unless otherwise stated & agreed upon.   We are a smaller group that typically takes on harder cases that require special homes so we ask that applicants live in our area - if you do not live in the MN or surrounding states, please contact us via email before submitting an application to determine whether the animal you are interested in is a case we are comfortable adopting out to a family out of our area.
