*FOSTER NEEDED*

Tailia is a young pup who hasn't had the best start to her life. She acts like a dog that spent most of her life in a kennel and wasn’t properly socialized. She is very eager to have human affection and tries her best to please her people. She is very smart and can sit like a champ. She aims to please and is eager to get treats and to learn new things. Tailia needs a home that will help her learn what it is like to be treated like a member of the family. Tailia likes to play with other dogs that are her size (45lbs) or larger. They do have to be pretty tolerant of her annoying play style, but she is learning to be calmer during playtime. Tailia also does best when meeting her new dog friends slowly, with proper intros. We are looking for a home without young children because their energy and quick movements are too interesting for her. I would say dog savvy 15+ year old teens would be best. Tailia is not one hundred percent potty trained but has been going up to 4 hours without any accidents. She's working very hard but being in a home would really make all the difference and give her the extra push she needs. Being on a more predictable potty schedule would make all the difference. We will require Tailia to do a two week shutdown when arriving to a new home. If there are resident dogs slow intros will begin after the shutdown period. The rescue provides lots of support and help with the shutdown and new dog intros.

Tailia is also currently taking half a daily allergy pill (apoquel, average $2/pill) to help manage some recent skin issues.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting this animal, please read the following before submitting an adoption application on our website - fureverhomerescue.com.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, 4Dx test (covers tick-borne diseases (A naplasmosis , Lymes, E hrlichiosis) as well as heart worm)   & de-worming.  We ask that our dogs live indoors unless otherwise stated & agreed upon.   We are a smaller group that typically takes on harder cases that require special homes so we ask that applicants live in our area - if you do not live in the MN, please contact us via email before submitting an application to determine whether the animal you are interested in is a case we are comfortable adopting out to a family out of our area.
