Mini Lop (medium coat) : : Male : : Young : : Medium
Hello, my name is Pongo. I’m a "black tortoise” (or some call me a “red otter”) Holland mini-lop. That means that my fuzzy outfit is red on top with gray and tan points below. You’ll see my belly is brown when I stand up to beg for treats. When I do this, my foster mom calls me Puppy-bun, because with my long ears I look like a puppy. My favorite treats are cilantro, lettuce, kale, blueberries, and banana. I’m a very gentle and mild-mannered little guy. I was rescued from a tiny hutch and sometimes I need help to be brave because the world is so big. I am super soft and I like to be petted but being picked up is kind of scary. I’m so happy to have more room to hop around and stretch my legs and explore, although I get easily overwhelmed, so I like to have a safe home base to run to.
My foster home has older children, and I make their beds and watch TV with them. I’m quite a couch potato, actually, but I might thump my foot if you are watching a show with loud noises. Until I did this, my family thought I might be hearing-impaired, because it takes me a while to notice when people come into my room or kibble gets poured into my dish. It’s easy to sneak up on me.
I haven't met any dogs but my foster family has cats, and at first, I thought they were super scary. Now I am just curious about them. I’m curious about other bunnies, too, and I might like to have a bunny friend. When I met the resident bun at my foster home, I wanted to get to know him, but it turns out he’s a super grumpy guy. I’m a lover, not a fighter. If I put my head into a big oatmeal container, he can’t see me. One thing my foster family has noticed is that I do not chew on things, not even my toys. So it’s very important that I get lots of hay to keep my teeth in good order. But please keep the salads coming too, because I love them very much!
I would love to have an opportunity to meet you to see if we can be a good match. If you're interested, please fill out an adoption application at www.fureverhomerescue.com .

FEHR bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become companion indoor house pets. FEHR is a non-profit rescue group with all volunteers and with 100% of donations going for the direct care of our animals.
If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website www.fureverhomerescue.com .
For the safety of our rescue bunnies and our protocol that requires a home visit before placement, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area or our volunteers.
