Hello!  My name is BECKY!

I am a beautiful, Californian bunny!

I am outgoing and full of life! I have a great personality and I LOVE spending time with
hoomans. I always run to greet my foster mom when she comes into the room. I even
give her sweet bunny kisses. When I am in my exercise pen, I enjoy eating hay,
hopping around, and spending time chewing on my Snak Shak. I am very tidy and have
good litter box habits in my exercise pen. My foster mom says I am an easy bunny to
clean up after. I love having my head scratched. At times, I love these head scratches
so much my little teeth will chatter, which is called “tooth purring.” It means I am very
happy! In my foster home, I am around gentle and patient older children as well as
two dogs. And guess what?! The dogs do not scare me at all! In the evening, my foster
family sits on the couch watching t.v. while the dogs sleep on the floor and I get hang
out with all of them. I hop happily around the room, often jumping onto the couch to
say hello, get a quick head scratch and then hop away to explore some more. I love
being a part of a family. This is so different from where I came from. I was rescued
from a meat breeder where I was kept in a tiny wire bottom cage filled with so many
bunnies I could barely turn around! Before I was rescued, I had a very scary thing
happen to me that caused me to need a lot of medical care, medication and TLC to
nurse me back to health. And you know what?! I am such a very strong warrior
princess, I healed right up. Because of what happened to me, I sometimes get anxious.
So now, I take special prescription herbs every day to help keep me calm. These herbs
are a big help!

FEHR bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become companion indoor house pets. FEHR is a non-profit rescue group with all volunteers and with 100% of donations going for the direct care of our animals.

Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate our rescue rabbits as Emotional Support Animals (ESA).

For the safety of our rescue bunnies and our protocol that requires a home visit before placement, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area or our volunteers.
